The Project:
University of San Diego California solicited proposals for a $93,000,000 student housing project using a design-build bridging document delivery. The plans required structural re-engineering while maintaining the building's architectural integrity. In addition, Turner asked Convergent to target a 10% cost reduction. Convergent met that challenge by designing the most cost effective combination of post tension, rebar, slab/wall/column, and foundation systems.
