The Project:
UCSD's Mayer Hall is a five-story gem slated to open in 2008. The building will host 45,000 square feet of office, research, instructional and lab space, and will feature innovative architectural and design elements. Despite challenges involving logistics, materials and various design aspects of the building, the structural framework was completed on time and on budget - and to exacting construction standards.
