The Project:
TBP joined Chelsea Investment Corporation, Harper Construction and Joseph Wong Design Architects as the Design-Build Structural Form Contractor for this 13 story up, 3 story down project. CCDC (Center City Development Corp.) issued a 2-phase RFP process to develop the corner of 9th and Broadway in to a LEED Silver Certified, low-income residential facility aimed at students and entry-level workers. The project consists of approx 250 units, with 140 dedicated to low-income tenants, street level retail and below grade parking. TBP worked as the Structural Engineer alongside JWDA, Harper and Chelsea to develop the structural design, implement LEED strategies, and develop the technical proposal to win CCDCs recommendation as the Design-Build development/building team of choice.
