T.B. Penick Affiliate Convergent, Inc. Announces Agreement with ROEL Construction to Build 180,000-Square-Foot Hotel and Casino in Fort Yuma
Company creates sizeable financial savings in pre-con design and construction scheduling
SAN DIEGO – Jan. 31, 2008 — Today T.B. Penick & Sons, one of the largest and most trusted contractors in Southern California for more than a century, announced that its design-build affiliate, Convergent, Inc., has been selected by ROEL Construction to team up in the building of Quechan Casino, a 180,000-square-foot casino and six-story hotel in Fort Yuma, Winterhaven, CA. Utilizing Convergent’s pre-construction services, ROEL has already incurred a considerable amount of financial savings from the original budget through Convergent’s design-assist process.

Convergent so far has worked with ROEL on the pre-con design and scheduling for the Quechan Casino Resort and will next complete the concrete frame for the hotel and the foundation for the casino. Convergent’s project scope is scheduled to begin in early 2008 and is slated for a four-month building duration.
