TWIN TURBOSHAFT ENGINE TEST CELL MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, CA PROJECT DELIVERY: Firm Fixed Price ARCHITECT: Engineering Field Division Southwest A test facility at Miramar Marine Air Station for turboshaft helicopter engines. This engine test cell provides a sound insulated ventilated safe environment for technicians to run turboshaft aircraft motors while disconnected from the aircraft. The facility allows for testing, calibration and performance measurement of the motors. A central control room allows viewing and control of operations for each test cell, one for P-58 aircraft motors and one for P-62 aircraft motors. The project was constructed adjacent to the landing field at MCAS Miramar. Significant site infrastructure was brought into the site from adjacent aircraft facilities to support this test cell. - Previous -      - Next -
