EL CENTRO COMMUNITY CENTER EL CENTRO, CA ARCHITECT: Ferris, Johnson & Perkins This registered historic 1920's U.S. Post Office building was renovated and converted into a community center and a 300 seat theater. The existing mail sorting rooms and postmaster catwalks were removed to open up the space and allow for a seating balcony in the theatre. Period fixtures, doors and hardware were installed where modern devices had been placed over the years. Electrical and mechanical systems were completely replaced. - Previous -      - Next -
